VÖGELE milestones from 2010 onwards

Move into the new factory

In October 2010, JOSEPH VÖGELE AG starts production in the world's most modern paver factory. With a total investment value of 100 million Euros, the new factory built in Ludwigshafen on the river Rhine is one of the biggest investments ever made in the European mechanical engineering industry. From now on, pavers and screeds for the world market will be produced, assembled and shipped from a site with outdoor space extending to 370,000 m² and a covered factory facility measuring approximately 60,000 m².

Launch of the “Dash 3” generation of pavers

JOSEPH VÖGELE AG heralds the next era of roadbuilding with a completely new category of pavers, the “Dash 3” generation. These innovative, environmentally-friendly and economical asphalt pavers are based on cost-efficient, cutting-edge technology.

The first representatives of this new generation are the SUPER 1900-3, SUPER 2100-3 and SUPER 1800-3. Other pavers in every class follow.

First process optimisation and documentation solution

In WITOS Paving, VÖGELE delivers the first digital solution for optimising and documenting a paving process using a paver. Paving temperature can be kept under constant observation using the RoadScan non-contact measuring system. Surface temperatures are clearly visualised in the display of the ErgoPlus 3 paver operator’s console in the form of thermal images.

Stronger together

As a subsidiary of the WIRTGEN GROUP, JOSEPH VÖGELE AG is brought under the umbrella of American firm Deere & Company. Deere intends to retain and continue with the existing brands of the WIRTGEN GROUP, along with their management, production sites, staff and sales and service network.

The new Big MultiPlex Ski for optimum asphalt paving results

Used together, the new Big MultiPlex Ski sensor system and the sensors of the System for Automated Grade and Slope Control deliver maximum evenness and truth to line and level. This new generation of machines integrates innovative, practical details and simplifies both the fitting and use of the sensors. This is due in particular to newly-developed clamping fasteners which allow sensors to be attached without the use of any tools at all.

VÖGELE’s biggest ever paver

The company’s new flagship – the SUPER 3000-3i – defies superlatives, combining a maximum output of 354 kW with a maximum laydown rate of 1,800t/h and a maximum pave width of 18 m - it’s also incredibly user-friendly! For the first time, the entire chassis is height-adjustable to allow optimum material transfer; hydraulic tamper stroke adjustment works at the touch of a button.

2022: latest generation of pavers launched

Two steps ahead: new, latest-generation pavers like the SUPER 1900-5 X, the SUPER 2100-5 X, the SUPER 1800-5 X and the AB 500 and AB 600 Extending Screeds equip contractors for the future. The new generation of pavers is a convincing combination of ease of use, process automation, economy and sustainability. More products in all classes are in the pipeline
